2.8 serp pulleys

Postby Johns10 » Wed Mar 01, 2017 4:01 pm

I have a 2.8 with all the serp belt pulleys and brackets. Will they fit a sbc? From what I've read mostly is you have to use the 4.3 setup

I believe you've read right about the 4.3 parts .
The 4.3 is basically a a sbc 350 with the two rear cylinders not on it , but everything else the same .
I believe you've answered your own question !

correct, 4.3 accessories will work. 2.8 will not. Different angle motors

What's a good serp setup other than the 4.3. I'm having a hard time finding one even at wrecking yards.

What mounts are you using? Which water pumo? Radiator moved forward? Mechanical or electric fans?

I'll be using the adapter plates and v8 mounts. Plan on a short pump and electric fan.

Most yards have other yards they are affiliated with, and can get stuff they don't have, you might try that....you can also buy that kinda stuff on Ebay as well. 8)
