I agree. I don't think i could get 100 dollars worth of passes at the strip. Id much rather pay 10 dollars for test n tune like any other track and 90 towards actuall show activities.. but i wouldnt do that either.

If i pay 100 at the strip, there better be the potential to get 100 more after crossing the finish line

I see the 100.00 cost to be worth it for some . If they want to tune or just have a good time .. I'm sure some guys would pay that for a night out with the wife . Lol just remembet a speeding ticket cost more !

I'm willing to spend $100 for all day, but if we cant get 25 ppl to do it, then depending on how many we get it may not be worth it to me if the price rises sharply.

Hey guys,
I know $100 sounds steep..
But we get the whole track to ourselves along with all the other benefits.
I would hope you guys know by now.. We do have trophy's and prize money..
The amount is always based on participation.
We have some members who don't even get to go.. So, They donated to the trophy's and shirts..
This is more than a $10.00 visit to the track.

It's kinda weird but, Unless you have been to an event that's just S10's.
It's strange being around people that you could just talk to all day and everyone shares a common interest.
My wife tells me its the only time I open up and talk.. (Around her, my jaw starts to hurt in the first 5min.)

I cant find one person who has been to our events that wouldn't do it again in a heartbeat..
If your into this for the money alone.. This is not for you.
We are competitive, but family and friendship comes first.

I easily spend over $100.00 taking my wife and kids to dinner and a movie.. That memory only last a couple of hours.
This is a memory that last a lifetime.

Both of my kids have school too..
I have no problem letting them miss a day or two if needed.
Hell, The last event.. I even had the teachers give them their homework for the Monday they missed.
They do that when you go on vacation down here in Florida.

I put about $40.00 a week away to pay for my whole trip.
This includes Hotel, Food and Gas
You have about 7 months if you started saving now.. That's a little over 1100.00 if you were following what I am doing.

I spent a little over 900.00 on the trip last year. (Me, Wife, Son, Daughter and Daughters Boyfriend)
This included food, gas, etc,
Additionally, I gave 600.00 to the prize fund.

The bottom line is.. If you want to go, You'll go.
If you don't, You wont.

Diabolical, I was at the meet last month and plan on attending in may, I will be putting up $100 for all day, I just cant do much more with the time frame the deadline for having the money in falls on with the holidays, Its more of a bday present to myself. I am going to have the money ready to send within the next few weeks.

Sounds good guys,
I put a link on my site so it would be easier for people to pay when they can instead of PM'ing me.
http://www.s10racer.com/board/showthread.php?t=6152

I hope to meet you guys!!
BTW.. I am bringing a new set of Daggers (Traction Bars) and a new Vertebrae (Cross member) to give away..
Maybe one of you will get to walk away with it? :)

I will be talking to sponsors again too..
We gave away some cool stuff last year..
It will only get better!

For anyone questioning if the trip is worth going "yes it is" My drive was 8 hrs one way and I am glad I went. When you go to your local track how many people do you actually talk to? The difference at the S10 get together is that you all have something in common and you communicate throughout the year with each other in chat and on posts. I don't know where you guys race but at my local track it costs $35 - $50 entry fee to race depending on what the program is so $100 for a track rental doesn't seem so bad.
Like mike stated the trip is not that bad if you plan ahead and start saving now.

So get them trucks done bitches and who wants to make some side bets???

And guys 2500 is cheap as hell for a track rental national trails charges almost 3500 but we get 90 people so its easy. If its 2500 and u get 100 trucks 25bucks a peice if not hooting for profit. And evan at 100 ea if there was any food and games for kidos would be worth 100. Id like to meet a lot of u guys and I'm shure u can give up mc dees for a bit and save 100. Then all u got is gas money

So if you don't want to race is it still $100? I'll be a spectator and camp out all weekend.

$10.00 spectator fee, plus whatever the campground charges.

We'll be there. Loosenut and I are bringing my truck down. Gonna be nice to meet some of you that I've met on here but not in person. I think that's the best part. Meeting someone that you have a pre-conceived idea of who they are.....and then you meet them and find out so much more that solidifies a friendship even further.

Should be there around 10PM. I hope they can still take campsite registration that late~.
