Un cut 8.8 with 15x10

Postby SboostedS10 » Sat May 28, 2016 7:19 am

ive been doing some research for 2 days now. I've seen someone say a 15x8 with 4.5 backspacing and 275/60/15 will fit uncut. i have an uncut 8.8 rear end. Will a 15x10 with 275/60/15 drag radial with 7 inch backspacing tuck on an 87 s10. Truck has 3 inch lowering springs. Also
if you have pictures of your rim , wheel size and backspacing , may you post them. First time ordering rims and not sure what I'm doing. any help is much appreciated. Thanks

I had a set of C5 corvette wheels (wicked offset, exactly how much you would have to search) on a stock rear with 2 1/4" of spacer on each side. My plan was to keep them and swap in my full length explorer rear and get as thin of a spacer/adapter I could find to go 4 1/2" to 4 3/4". These were the silver 17" in front, 18" in back combo with a 275/40ZR18 rear tire. (Same width you want but about 1 1/2" shorter overall height - 26 1/2" vs 28")

They actually fit under the fender but if your lowered to where you have to worry about it touching the lip, that might be the deal breaker. Also the tires were REAL close to the frame. IIRC you couldn't put your fingers in between. I have some pics but the ones from photobucket I post come out too big and I can't resize on mobile I guess. If you want PM me your number and I can text them to you.
