Narrowed 8.8 Required Wheel Backspacing

Postby gotrocket07 » Sun May 15, 2016 4:20 pm

I have a narrowed (shortened drivers side, and used a shorter passenger side axle) Ford 8.8 rear end under my 1st gen S-10. I've searched through several forums, but can't seem to find any definite answers/pics of what wheel setups people are running. I'm looking at running a 15x8 with 5.5BS or 15x10 with 6.5BS on the rear. If anyone has pics of their setups, with the specs of their wheels it'd be appreciated.

Now for the important question: Did you manage to pull on that Corvette after lofting the front end that high? haha

Where did you get new spring purches from to go on your 8.8 narrowed rear end? I'm in the process of changing some things on my 1989 s10 that I got when my father passed
