8.8" and backspacing problems...

So I picked up a truck... cheap... got a engine... free... Had a narrowed 8.8" disc rear end laying around... I know it fits... Just having problems finding wide wheels with the right backspacing for the Ford axle. The best I can find is Cobra rims 17x9 with 315's on em... I want wide tires cuz I don't plan on being slow forever... Anyone have any Idea's? or know if 315/35's are too big for a 9" wheel?

unless you're looking at SERIOUS hp and tq numbers, you're going to hook up just fine with a 270, 295, or 315 tire. i wouldn't even bother going bigger than a 295, why bother with the headache?

I plan on putting down around 7-8 by the end of the summer...

you really don't need a lot of tire... just look at plugwire and RayL, as far as i know, theyre both on 275's...

What are they running for gear and traction device? i have the same tire i can not hook for some reason!!!!!!!! i have went all over the place pressure wise? i run low 7's on all motor but am spinning all the way out of the hole sometimes have to totaly lift to hook back up and then back in it i see others hooking on the same tire also. what am i doing wrong???????
