Has anybody used one of the Holley Throttle Bodies? What did you think? Do you know of any other alternatives?

The alternative is a 454 TBI. Same bore as the 670 holley. The problem is that most junkyards think they are made of gold. If you get a 454 TBI get the adapter that it sits on because GM used a Q-jet intake on the 454's.

I've got one that the puter crapped out and the harness disappeared, but I still have the puter and the throttle body and adapter plate. I was thinking about using it on my Vortec 360, but I decided to wait and get a 900CFM 4 barrel digital system. I'm gonna start with a 650 DP till I can afford the Pro Jection I want. 8)

I have a 454 TBI would this be something I should think about putting on my truck? My truck has a Vortec 350 with GMPP TBI to Vortec Intake.

I think you would have to remove your intake and bore it out for the larger butterflies. I don't recall what the ratings are of all the injectors are but the 454 injectors are way too much for most 350's. Most people run the stock 350 injectors with an adjustable pressure regulator in the 454 TBI.

Do some searching on http://www.thirdgen.org in the TBI forum. If you can think of it those guys have already tried it.

When I built the truck I talked to the head guy at TBIchips.com and He told me to do one of 2 things, either put a adjustable regulater on it with 350 injectors or just put 454 injectors in.

I always thought it would be cool to get a dual quad carb intake manifold, get 2 carb to TBI adapters, and run 2 350 TBI's. :v8shift:
I'm not sure what it would take to run the 4 injectors with a stock ECU but I'm sure someone has done it by now...

Edit: Here is the mod to run dual TBI's

The thing is, I've already got an RPM Airgap intake, and my goal is 400 hp and at least 22 mpg average. 8)

The Holley 670 is based off of the 454 TB. According to my buddy who happened to work for Holley, the 454 unit is a much better piece. Espesially when you consider everything Holley now comes from China.

personally id save for a stealth ram setup if you want to upgrade your a/f delivery. Base stealth ram lower and upper intake kit can be had for $320, $350 off summit brand new. Throw in a TPI throttle body from the salvage yard, and injector rails. Then a set of injectors off ebay for under 75 bucks, few other misc pieces. Splice your injector wires to run 8 injectors, ecm tune and your now running multi port injection.
