Just curious as to what temp you guy's S-10/ Blazer's run at .

Mine's running about 190-200 in the fall and thats with a basic waterpump and one electic fan with a 3 core radiator.

If you've got a decent sized 3 core radiator, chances are you need more airflow. Simplified, cooling is a function of cooling area and airflow across that area. Most systems lack airflow more than area. I'd shoot for at least 3000 cfms. 8)

Man, at idle mine gets up to about 220. I need to get a better fan, the previous owner put a 18" or so fan on one side of the rad,but the otherside has no fan, i think that might be my problem.

Before you do anything, check out these threads:

While I don't necessarily agree with everything in all of them, there are some really good tips and info there, and definitely enough knowledge to get you pointed in the right direction. 8)

I have had excellent luck with flex fan. It was 10 years old when i built my truck and went electric fans on it. 190 in the day 170 at night. I use 2 unknown 10in pushers and works great.

depending on the weather mine runs any where from 165-195, it will hit 210 in stop in go traffic but alaways goes down after a 1/2 mile of driving, i got a g body three core rad, 17in flex fan and stock 4.3 shroud, oh ya i still have the a/c condensor in front w/ 2 useless pushers that are un hooked, to lazy to take them off.

Take off your pushers and go to an 18" er and your temp will drop. 8)

Hi Critter , you gotta get those pushers off as they are obstructing the flow of air to the front of your rad , Bill

mine never breaks 180, even on a 100 degree day.

electric water pump, 2 10" PULLERS. pullers always work better than pushers because they don't block the airflow near as bad. i talked to a flex-a-lite rep once, and he told me there can be as much as 800cfm blockage with 2 10" pushers. the blockage doens;t completely go away when moved to pullers, but it is minimized
