Radiator Mounts

Postby mixman98 » Tue Feb 13, 2018 8:22 am

I'm using the Intrepid fans on my '89 with the 4.3 radiator with A/C and the mercruiser pulley setup on the factory serpentine brackets. I have no problem where to make my cuts on the core support. My question is what did you guys use to mount the radiator and condenser and what are the mounting points?

Some people make it work with whatever they got laying around. Some pieces of rubber and metal tabs and some find mounts from other vehicles.

I used an aluminum radiator, and welded "wings" to the tanks, so they mount like early Camaro or Mustang radiators. When I moved my condenser to the other side of the core support, I used Adel (insulated) clamps to mount it.

Thanks guys. I like what you used Rick. I'll try and locate those clamps.

I used the stock radiator mounting isolators and set them in the lower channel of my core support. I made brackets for the upper mounting but used the same rubber isolators.
