"Forward Mount" Corvette Rad. Which E-Fans

Postby gotrocket07 » Fri Aug 04, 2017 7:06 am

After several searches on here and other S-10 focused sites, I havent been able to come up with a definite answer: I'm looking to switch to an E-fan setup on my S-10 and can't seem to find which "junkyard" fans fit a corevtte radiator setup well. Read that Intrepid fans will/wont work, and that Taurus fans have a tremendous amp draw on startup. Have also read where LT1/LS1 fans have been used with success. I'd love to see some setups people are running on their forward mounted Corvette radiators and what fans are being used. Thanks!

I used a 16" Spal on the exes TPI 305 Jimmy (with a Vette radiator), because I had one of each, but I'm pretty certain the Intrepid fan setup would fit, and DEFINITELY works well. 8)

Go with the intrepid fans if they will work.... however I used a pusher and a puller on mine since I haven't moved my radiator forward.. so far this summer I never got over 210 using a stock s10 hd 4.3 radiator on 110 deg days.... there is also a thread here where a guy used a set of Mercedes pusher fans with success... your best bet is to go with the proven intrepid fans imho.

Thanks for all of your input. Leaning heavily towards the Intrepid fans since they're a proven setup. I can fab things up pretty easily so that's not really a concern. I'm sure I'll end up making a post once everything is installed...whenever that may be. Thanks again!

Easy set up once its moved forward. My rad set up is a little more specialty but same concept. Easily add a shroud like this if needed.
