definitive answer??

Contemplating an emission legal 383 swap with the 96-99 2 piece manifold. Does anyone know, or have pics of the rams horn manifolds with the angled outlets? I would use the preferred motor mounts (V8) if they'll work with the rams horns. I've read the stickies, but it seems inconclusive. This would be in a '96 2wd 4.3. I'm lowered 2w/3 on top of the ZQ8 factory drop so long tubes seem doubtful.

I'm pretty sure the Rams Horn manifolds won't fit without some extensive modifications to the manifolds, and/or the frame rails. Could be the straight down ones I'm thinking of though, it's been a lot of years.... :? But why not go with the tried and true 3rd Gen Camaro manifolds? I am assuming you're talking about the Vortec intake manifold? Then again, for all of that, why not just jump up and go LS?

Edit: These folks have some 1969 Chevy truck manifolds for $80 for a pair, brand new: https://www.1aauto.com/exhaust-manifold ... 2oQAvD_BwE

Nothings ever easy...lol. I was reading the exhaust stickies and it seemed that some people had success with them. I was hoping for pics...but you know how that goes. I have a friend that swapped an emission legal 350 swap in his 2dr 4x4 Blazer and used LT1 manifolds with just a slight mod to the heater box. Even with all of the info out there on LS swaps, it's still way over my skill set, and this is my daily driver so downtime needs to be at a minimum. I haven't started a spreadsheet yet, but the plan is to keep it under 10K. Thats using a new 383 emissions legal stroker with aluminum heads. My plan is to have ALL of the parts on hand and ready to go before the swap takes place. I pulled my 4.3 3 years ago, and had it not been for the tranny rebuild, I could have had it done in a week.

Here is the friends Blazer

I've suggested he keep it but has en't been successful. We're meeting tomorrow to start a spreadsheet of parts/mfg/price. I've discarded the rams horn idea and am going with LT1 exhaust manifolds instead. This probably won't happen until spring/summer since I've been coaxed out of retirement by my former employer.
