4" cowl hood

Looking at a steel bolt on. AMD is most likely my choice. Anyone have any recent experience with them?

Nope never dealt with them. I put a bolt on 4" fiberglass cowl on mine.. cut a hole in a 2nd hood that I had. I had both the 2" and the 4".. I can say I liked the 2" a lot better. But everybody (other than me) likes the 4". I just think it sticks up too much when driving. If I could get a 2" to cover my blower I would.. but the blower sits up too high so.. 4" it is.

Got my 4" AMD steel hood today. Fit damn near perfect. Feels lighter than stock hood too. Came packaged well and couldn't have gone smoother than that. I'll drill the hood pins and cut the support for the air cleaner clearance tomorrow.

Quick one I took. Going to finish it up tomorrow. Should free up an easy 50hp with the bigger filter
