1990 s10 2.5L I'd like to use the factory fuel pump

Postby Rustyguy » Mon Dec 25, 2017 3:32 pm

I'm in the middle of doing a 350 swap on a 1990 s10 I got a 4 bolt main 350 with a 700R4 tranny and I'm almost finished
with the motor rebuild but I need to know I've heard different opinions about fuel pumps. I heard I could use the factory fuel
pump with a fuel pressure regulator and I heard disconnect the pump in the tank and use a remote fuel pump. Any help or advice is welcome. Thanks

Use the in tank pump. Are you using carb or fuel injection? Stock pump is most likely TBI for a 4cyl. So a bypass regulator will be fine if you are running a carb. 5-7 psi is all you need.

Use the stock in-tank pump and a Holley 12-803BP bypass style regulator,
