Yep, about 150 yards from my old shop. I was caddy corner across the alley from them, down on the other end. I had just gassed up the boat and the truck to head out for the only Toys for Tot's run on the water. I sold that boat the same day, but I've since bought it back, and hoping to get it back together before too far into the summer. 8)

thats one of the trucks that we are building, started lift a 2wd 4.3L auto.

Getting K5 axles
LT1 (out of a camaro, we have motor and trans ready to go in)
Auto
dual transfer cases, yes i said dual
3" BL
38x15's on 15x12 wheels (35's are on in the pics just to get the rolling chassis)

This truck is being built on a tight budget,
The truck was given to us, axles were dirt cheap, motor and trans were out of a totaled camaro, tranfer cases were from a buddys project that never got done.

We plan to do the body work and i will paint the truck with a crazy two tone. in a few year.

Thanks, at the time I wanted a truck, and a shortbed is more like a sports car with a big trunk. Also, I'd spent over 20 years driving short wheelbase vehicles, and wanted something more stable at high speeds, and the longer wheelbase is inherently more stable. The trade off is weight transfer though, it's tougher with a longbed. I've got a shortbed now though, so I guess I'll enjoy the weight transfer and deal with the lack of bed space. 8)
