leak speedometer cable on 700r4 trans help

Postby woodyboy » Sat Sep 16, 2017 5:15 pm

This is driving me crazy, I have a 85 blazer with 7004r transmission, and I can not get the cable to the trans to stop leaking. speedometer cable. I going threw fluid and absorbent material like crazy. a buddy of mine said they make an adaptor for the trans, and install an extra o ring. I'm not sure about that. also, I think I going to need a longer cable so the exhaust pipes does not rub on them again and burn them. Please help with ideas......

In mine to get it to stop leaking ... we had to replace the gizmo that the cable goes into. Had my tranny guy do it for me... leak gone.. took him 10 min.
