i just wasnt sure if i had to reach a certain level of activity on this site before i would be able to send pm's. there is another site that doesn't allow new members to send pm's or post in classified section untill they have posted in "general forums" more than 10 times.

My old Vega used to stop from 135~140 in the 1/4, with no problems, with stock Vega Front brakes, and Old Vista Cruiser station wagon brakes in the rear, (12"x3" drums). It had skinny front runners up front, and soft compound 11.5"~12.5" wide tires in the rear. 8)

So now you have me questioning myself. I picked up those 2000 camaro brakes for all 4 corners last summer and planned on running my summit 15" x 4"'s on the front with the 205s that are on them and now I just started the 9" swap out back. So your probably going to tell me to keep the OEM's up front and run 8.8 discs on the 9" arent you? I was so set on the Camaro brakes too.

I think I would see how it does with the stockers up front, but a 205 should hold fairly well, I was speaking more about the ~4" wide, 165~185 series tires, there isn't enough contact patch on them to be able to utilize all the braking power you would have under your foot. 8)
I would DEFINITELY do the 8.8 Exploder brakes on the 9", my truck stops even better now, with the 8.8, than it did with the 2000 Blazer rear discs, which I didn't expect, because there doesn't appear to be as much swept area on the Exploder brakes, nor as big a pad, but they stop even harder, and I'm very happy with the braking performance of the stock S10 front brakes and Exploder rear disc brakes on the Vega. 8)

I know its a old thread. I ordered my swap brackets a few days ago, they came in today. All I can say is they are very nice. I would recommend these to anyone else. Thanks for a good price and a great product.

If not, you can get them from hi_im_ sean at www.s10forum.com . He does excellent work in a timely manner and is fair in his pricing. He did all of my parts and I'm a happy camper.

The stock hoses on my 4x4 are to short. When you move the wheel for a tight turn, the hoses( right hose, left turn, left hose right turn.) pull the hose so tight it will eventually break. The closest I've found is hoses for a 2000 1/2 ton Silverado, but they're about 3 inches to long.
