If you are looking for something larger, any late model "F" body rear discs will work. You will need a spacer to center the caliper over the rotor. If you are looking for a whole axel swap, you can use the rear from a 2wd Blazer. You may have to get creative for the ebrake though.

Ah, yeah I have drums on the rear and if I do a V8 swap, I probably need the extra braking power. If I do an "F" body swap, is that just pulling the drums off and putting the disc on? Is there a resource I can read up on?

Thanks for the info by the way.

I can't find the "F" body info but here is a simple rear swap..

i took a set of rear discs of a 85 trans am all youll really need is the backing plates casue youll want new rotors and calipers if there in your budget then take your factory axles out and have them machined to fit in the rotors and bolt it all up and bleed the brakes if this is to much work i have a 10 bolt rearend out of a 99 4 cyl truck with 3.73 gears already converted i have laying around if your intersted

I'm using a kit from Scarebird mechanical. It uses Cadallic calipers and rotors. It seems to be well made -- they just supply the brackets, you get your other parts anywhere you want. The bracktes are about $105, I got calipers and rotors off Ebay. I'm not on the road yet, so I don't know how well they work, but they are pretty easy to install. Their website is here http://www.scarebird.com

Sweet, Thanks guys for the info. Let me know how your swap went KYtruck.
I'm planning for the swap towards the end of the year and I'll try to do a brake upgrade way or another.

Any other ideas are welcome! And thanks for them!
